PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION & PERSONALITY
Being among the species of human Jekkit always knew she was unique her special skill sets upon birth made it more apparent she was one of a few skilled with stealth combat and assassination. At the age of four Tal was brought to the covenant of her people to be tested for the skill of the Sinjhu, a unique coven of women assassins that specialize in killing off the scum of the galaxy using their various skills in science, deception, manipulation, stealth and poisons.
From birth Tal has always been a beauty, her dark locks and grey eyes allow for a more uniqueness to the skill sets she began to hone as a small child, and her training paved the way for her to become one of the more skillful rogues of the galaxy. Along with her looks she has always been of a toned build that allows her to not only silently stalk her targets but also have agility and movement unseen for milennia. Her unique genious was honed and trained for curing her own allies of their poisoning and ensuring her targets would die before they realized she had poisoned them. From a young age she trained diligently and studiously for her honed art form of concealed combat, and surveilance. She also had been trained to not be seen and to remain anonymous, where she excelled others had failed.
Years passed before she was required to test her skills to the triad of the covenant to pass her final trials before being required to venture out as a young teenager to take on the galaxy and prove she is capable of being one of the Sinjhu, her own faucets made for her personal growth yet others felt she was not ready quite yet due to her very rebellious nature. They all felt her too naive for the final trial of spirit, some also felt she was too sadistic as well for the title of her people, yet very few knew she would not only pass with flying colors but also prove to be the more elite of her own covenant, or Sinjaro (which translates from her peoples tongue as: True Blood)
Her intelligence, rebelliousness, and lack of remorse when killing made her worthy of a noose from her people yet the triad seen her more of an asset should their spies be true about an invading army.
Yet one thing they never counted on was her need for blood and her desire to see her own people avenged. Jekkit was also seen as a more quiet individual, during her training she learned that silence is always the best route and so she never spoke to many; a lot of her former friends sort of forgot what her voice sounded like as the years passed by due to her silent nature, but they knew all too well how cold her eyes had become.
And over the years her clothes had also become unique, as the years passed by she started to wear athletic tank tops that were made to be thermal regulated, with jeans, heeled leather boots, fingerless gloves with studs and leather jackets. Her hair was always done up in a tail, with sunglasses covering her eyes, it had become a signature.
Tal is and always has been more of a rogue, due to the events of her past, the fact she is the last of the Sinju she doesn't take orders, and prefers to work alone.. she also hates tag-alongs and usually will never work with a team, she is very rarely seen smiling, and often reflects on the past. To this day she is a scientist and an assassin. It has been almost 10 years since the invasion started on her home moon colony, she is 20 years old and still holds on to the scars of the invasion, holding onto regret and grief that she was unable to save her mother, and sisters from slavers and death she remains cold to the touch, and distant with anyone she comes into contact with and refuses to allow anyone to get close to her at all.
Often enough when people have come to know her they are always opinionated that she carries a heavy burden with her. Once someone informed that that “if you continue to wear your scars, they will eventually become wounds and bleed the last bit of your life away...” Which is true since she blames herself for not being strong enough to protect her younger sisters, and for her own personal cowardice for fleeing when reinforcements arrived and not dieing alongside her own family.
Long ago, during her training and education, Tal learned she cannot rely on others for assistance and she cannot allow anyone to get close. The Sinjhu is more a religion than a normal covenant of anonymity. The entire focus of her and their training was to remove all distractions, close and immediate family, friendships, even romance.. it was all considered to be a taboo to the very few who were chosen to study the ancient art of the Sinjhu.
Tal knew it was impossible for her to train as a sister of anonymity and remain close to those she knew prior to being trained, she also knew trust could not be easily given either. They had natural enemies, and often were pitted against even their own families in pit fights to test their spirit and resolve. Alot of law enforcement agencies see the Sinjhu as cold hearted and malicious cut throats, and have their very order bountied on numerous planets, however, their entire order revolves around protecting those that have been left behind, even if their methods are more cruel and cold hearted than most.
The Sinjhu believe that all life does not include a price tag, their views are that the agencies sworn to protect innocent lives do nothing when their own are invaded and taken and used by slavers. So whenever they train they do so with the focus that one day the galaxy will be a better place, and whenever one of their own falls in battle the fallen are never mourned, but celebrated as heroes of their people.
Tal swore her oath at a young age, and even then she found it difficult to leave everyone in the past but she knew it was for the best. Instead of a new family she received a unique code that would identify her if she ever fell in battle, and a mantra she was to stick to at all times even in battle. Alot of the Sinjhu see themselves as warrior monks rather than the usual stereotype of assassin, but its all the same since they utilize assassins teaching, training, tactics, strategies and methods to make the galaxy a better place one criminal-corpse at a time.
In order to complete her training and become a devout sister of anonymity she would be required to leave all she is close to behind, she is required to never fall for another and be celibate for her entire life time, and remain married to her work. there is absolutely no room for mistakes, and no room to focus on anything but what she is trained to accomplish.
All relationships, friendships and family members are to be completely vanquished from her entire soul and spirit so the only thing she cares for is the work she is to complete before it is time for her sacrifice. She is also to be purged from all inner conflict, emotion is forbidden as it will only hinder the work of the Sinjhu.
During her training Tal focused moreso on the defensive art forms of the covenant, she focused primarily on concealment and poisoning, but also took a liking to the healing arts of science, and experimental research.
She was required, however, to specialize in melee weapons as well, yet the Sinjhu's always disallowed firearms due to the lack of skill needed to wield one and in their eyes the ones who are forced to rely on a gun are only allowing their own inner cowardice and inferior intellect to show. Choosing to train in duel katana she began her training to learn to effectively wield them, it took some time but she did excell in the end and made for a everlasting impression within her own sisters, they all were impressed with how agile, and flexible she had become over the years of her training, even the elder sister was brought to tears when they convened about setting the trial mission for Tal to prove she is indeed worthy of becoming an official sister of anonymity. Or Sinjhu. It was a hard decision to make knowing it was only weeks before their settlement would be invaded by slaver forces, but they knew by sending Tal out of the settlement to perform the task at hand she would be safely away from the fate that would sweep across the entire colony of Sinjhu. Some of them wanted to warn Tal of the plight that will befall the colony, but their oaths forbid them to, and as Tal left the settlement to endure the outside worlds and to obtain the mark she had been given they all watched with sorrow as she departed her home for the last time unaware that when she returned she would be returning to a graveyard of her own people.
PRE-RP HISTORY
How did your character get to where he is today? Where was he raised? Does he have any family? Close friends? What hardships did he struggle with to influence his personality? Did he have any particularly happy moments of his life that are noteworthy? What are his goals? How did he get into his field of study? There can never be too much detail here! The more fleshed out your history is, the more real your character will become, and the easier it will be for you to write him. Everything here should be your character's history up until you started RP'ing them.
CURRENT HISTORY
This is a place to keep a current, up to date log of what has happened to your character in RP, and what they are currently going through. This section is meant to focus on broader, overarching occurrences that are having or have had affects on your character. You do not need to talk about every mission you went on, nor every conversation or experience you've had. Just the things which have happened IC that you consider greatly important and influential to the development of your character.
MAJOR POSSESSIONS
As we've stated in our rules, we are not going to be micromanaging an economy here. You are simply expected to be reasonable about the assets you have available to you, and the items which you've been able to acquire. This is a place where you should list the items which you use a lot, preferably with an short explanation (or a link, if applicable) of where or how you got them. These can be assets which you own personally, or ones which have been entrusted to you. For instance: an Alliance soldier who is captain of her own ship should list her ship among her possessions, even though the ship itself belongs to the Alliance.
RELATIONSHIPS AND ENPC'S
What significant relationships does your character have? This should include both PC's and NPC's. We would like to know who you're acquainted with, friends with, and who you consider rivals or enemies. It would be preferable to have a short couple sentences to describe your relationship with the individual, but how detailed you are is up to you.
In the case of ENPC's, however, we do expect to see detail. ENPC's (acronym for essential non-player character) are NPC's who are very important to your character, and should be treated as extensions of your character. Meaning, for the most part, only you are in control of these particular NPC's. Other players are allowed to hurt, attack, and interact with these characters, but they cannot automatically kill them, nor can they control their actions. These NPC's can only be RP'd by you or with your expressed permission. Characters which might be considered ENPC's: members of your ship's crew, close family members, a treasured mentor or teacher, etc. Again, please be smart. The chances of your character knowing the Grand Admiral of the Alliance fleet are extremely slim. If you're not sure about an ENPC your considering, don't hesitate to PM an admin. We are always more willing to work with people who take the time to double check than ones who assume they are being reasonable.
THREAD LIST
We would like you to keep a chronological list (with hyperlinks) to the threads you've participated in ICly. This will be beneficial both to you and to staff in the long run, in case you need to find or reference a previous thread.
Feel free to be as creative and artsy with your dossier as you please, or keep it simple and uniform! As long as everything is clear and sensible, then we are happy. There are only a couple other additional things to note:
1. You are not allowed to create a relative to another PC without the other writer's permission. Not everyone wants to find out they have a surprise, long lost sibling.
2. With some exceptions, all PC's start at the rank of novice. If you are considering transferring your character from another board, we are willing to work with you so that you do not have to start from the bottom again, but we will need to see some evidence of your previous RP history with the character as well as proof of achievements earned on your previous board. If the administration does not feel there is enough to verify your starting at a level beyond novice, then you will start at the bottom like everyone else. For an explanation and break down of our ranking system, please see our RP rules thread.
3. You do not need approval on your character's dossier by a staff member in order to being RP. However, you do need to have a dossier started before you can RP with your character. Dossiers can take time, and we understand that, so feel free to throw up the bare minimum and add in more as you go along, but if you RP without having a dossier then your IC posts will be deleted until you do. The bare minimum consists of: physical description, personality, and at least a general history. Further more, if a staff member feels that there is something unreasonable in your possession or ENPC's (or anything else for that matter) they have the right to bar you from RP until it is altered and fixed.
4. In your account profile, you have been provided with an area to put a hyperlink to your dossier. Please be sure to add that link as soon as you have the thread posted, to make it easier for staff and members to find it.
5. In the cast of Spectres: This is the only kind of class we are RESTRICTING. Spectres are supposed to be rare, chosen by the Council to represent and speak for their individual races. Please ask a member of the administration before using an NPC Spectre in your thread.
6. Last but not least, do not be afraid to ask questions! We were all beginners once. Seek help, and you will receive it.
