Mass Effect 4, the working title for the next entry in the Mass Effect Universe, is the first game for the next generation of consoles. Very little is known at this point, including the release date, official name, and who the main protagonist will be.
Known Information
There are a few things that we do know, however. The biggest slice of information is the confirmation from BioWare that the game will not star Commander Shepard, the star of the original trilogy of games.
The game is also said to share many of the "core features" with Dragon Age: Inquisition. This likely means that the systems working in the background will all be similar, not necessarily the combat, dialogue, or anything else.
The game will also be created using the Frostbite engine, along with 14 other games in development right now.
Although not confirmed, associate producer Mike Gamble has hinted that it "wouldn't be a bad idea" to hold onto your Mass Effect save files.
N7 Day 2013
N7 Day (November 7th) is a day every year where BioWare and the community join together to celebrate Mass Effect. This past year, BioWare took the opportunity to tweet out several teaser images showing the team hard at work on the new game.

So, we know there is a fourth game in the making. All we know about it, aside from the fact that it won't be called "Mass Effect 4", is that it is supposedly going to take place sometime during the events of Shepard's timeline, and is not starring Shepard. What are your hopes or expectations for this upcoming installment in the series? Theories on what you think they will be focusing on? Questions or inconsistencies you hope will be addressed?
